Approach to Online Learning

How would you describe your institution's approach to online learning?

UW-Green Bay offers the Interdisciplinary Studies major completely online. In addition, all UW-Green Bay students have access to approximately 75 different sections of courses online each semester, of which the majority are taught by UW-Green Bay faculty and lecturers. Online is used to provide access to place-bound and adult learners, but is also offered as an alternative learning experience for on-campus, traditional students. Our online courses provide the same academic rigor and a commitment to having full-time university faculty teach in the program.

What makes your online programs so valuable to students?

Many of the students who attend UW-Green Bay are working adults who need the flexibility and convenience of an online degree program. These students are not able to attend classes in a traditional face-to-face environment. Our students earn a nationally-recognized University of Wisconsin degree, advance their personal and professional lives and do so in the most flexible and affordable way possible. In addition, access to online classes allows traditional students to enroll in classes that may otherwise be in conflict with their schedules.

Where do you see your online programs in the next five years? Beyond?

Online programs will continue to be a part of higher education, adapting to meet new technologies. Online education will continue to grow as more traditional students continue to incorporate at least one online course into their schedules.

Finding an Affordable Higher Education in Wisconsin

From Madison to Milwaukee, everyone in Wisconsin knows that the best way to get a job in a field that you love is to have a degree in that field. Having an education is important, and it is something that many in the state stress. 89.8% of the residents actually have a high school diploma, and 25.7% have a bachelor’s degree or higher. In addition, you will find that at least 8.4% of the residents have an advanced degree. Good education is something that will help you now and in the future, so finding a school that will be able to help you get a degree is important. You could choose a traditional school, but many are looking at the advantages of affordable online colleges in Wisconsin instead. Online colleges help make getting a degree easier than ever.

Pursuing a Degree in Wisconsin

If you are looking for traditional options for a postsecondary education, you will find some in Wisconsin. The state is home to 42 two-year or more schools, as well as 54 four-year or more schools. While it is possible to find the program you need with traditional schools, those traditional programs might not actually be your best course of action though. Many students today are finding that it is actually a better option to choose online programs instead. By choosing the best affordable colleges in Wisconsin, it can be easier than ever to earn a degree. Thanks to the technology and the quality of the schools on the web, you can earn all types of degrees, all the way through to your doctorate.

Benefits of Choosing Online Classes in Wisconsin

Since the state does have some traditional learning options when it comes to postsecondary schooling, you might wonder why so many are starting to look to the web for their learning needs. The online classes have benefits that the traditional setting simply can’t provide, and one of the biggest benefits is convenience. Getting to class during a Wisconsin winter is not always easy, especially if you do not live on the campus. When you utilize online classes, you are going to be able to log on no matter where you are, and it is much easier. Students will find that the quality of the education is quite high as well, and it is possible to earn real degrees with affordable online colleges in Wisconsin. Get a degree in art, engineering, nursing, psychology and more.

Saving Money with Online Education

If you are still thinking about going to one of the traditional schools, you might want to examine just how much they are going to cost you. Attending a two-year public school in the state will average $4,058, and a four-year public school is $8,690. This only includes the tuition and fees and does not account for the cost of living that you will have to pay. The cost of schooling is something that keeps away many students, but you should not let it. Instead, look at the cost of affordable online schools in Wisconsin, and you will see quite a difference. It is possible to get a degree without spending a fortune.

You must always make sure that you are working with the right online institution for your online classes. Check to make sure that the school has accreditation and that they are able to offer you all of the classes you need to get a degree in the field that you want. You deserve the chance to get a degree and to better your life. Take the time to look at the options you have before you choose a traditional school.
